Since I have been working on keeping a weekly mileage minimum of 40 miles / week, I thought that Run Eat Repeat's Pile on the Miles challenge would be perfect.
Everyone signed up and put in a mileage goal for the month of November. At first I was thinking 180 would be good. Then I saw people putting in 200 for a goal. Not one to back down from a challenge, I went ahead and jotted down 200 as well. Miles walked count as well as running, so I think I could easily get in at least an additional 5 miles of walking a week if I really tried.
Started out strong this morning with a 7 mile run. Tomorrow I will just walk on the treadmill for an hour because Saturday I am participating in the Dirty Duathlon relay! I run two miles, the biker bikes 10 miles, then I run two more.
Sunday I am hoping to get in a 14 mile run. That sounds long and boring and brutal. Dang. Haven't done a long one by myself in a long time. Better get the iPod charged up!
