South Beach Diet: Here We Go Again

I am reviving this little blog o'mine to track my progress on the South Beach Diet. Since running the Twin Cities Marathon, subsequently discovering I had a stress fracture in my femur, healing that only to have knee problems when I started running again - well, I'm up to my all time high weight and my eating is OUT of CONTROL.

I was successful last time I did the South Beach Diet, while I only lasted on Phase 1 for one week, it definitely got my cravings and carbs / sugar back in line. Right now I just feel gross, bloated, and snacky all the time. And since I'm currently just walking (go to the chiro next week to check out my knee), I figure I won't have such an issue as last time when I was trying to train for a half while cutting all carbs. This seems like a good time to go for it!

So here we go. I'm eating a big old plate of pasta for dinner tonight....after that, I'm going to be mighty grumpy for a while!

Anyone out there have success with South Beach? Tips for lasting 2 weeks in Phase 1? Any other vegetarian South Beachers out there?

keep us updated. I'm interested to see how it goes. Never tried south beach, but have heard many have had success in the past...
